As Christmas Common is in the middle of beautiful, peaceful countryside, it wasn't very well serviced by taxis. Below is a list of local, reliable taxi firms we used.
We made sure you book our taxis in advance, to avoid getting stranded in the middle of the Chilterns!
More coming soon!
How did you meet Hellin?
'Friendship is so weird... You just pick a human you've met and you're like "yep, I like this one" and you just do stuff with them'. I picked Hellin because she fancied Jamie Bell too and watch Friends with me. And when we got a bit older she still fancied Jamie Bell too and watched friends with me. Then we carried on getting older and she laughed with me, she cried with me, she listened to me, she got drunk with me, she danced with me, she worked with me, she travelled with me and now she's sharing her big day with me! She is the best friend I could have ever picked.

How did you meet Hellin?
Hellin and I met on our way back from school on the bus some years ago. After a while sizing each other up, we became friends. Luckily for Jigbugs (my affectionate name for Hellin’s assets) I was lazy as school and she had the joy of receiving me into her year. We “enjoyed” three years at school together, particularly rarely turning up to our Spanish lessons in favour of Thame lane planning adventures. 8 years later and Hellin and I are still firm friends. We do not call each other every day, far from it, usually something funny will trigger one of us to contact the other but when we do meet up it’s as though no time has passed at all and I am very proud to call her my friend and the Godmother of my child.

How did you meet Hellin?
Hellin and my partner (Jack) grew up together in Clifton Hampden. When I met Hellin around seven years ago, she wasn’t that keen on me as she had been away for the summer in which I had arrived, and people kept confusing us, mixing our names up and telling her how fun and brilliant I was (duh). Once Hellin and I spent some time together and she realised that the rumours were in fact very much true, we became good friends. We are often heard to be saying things such as ‘same!’ ‘snap!’ and ‘samesies!’ (I don’t say samesies, that’s just a Hellin ‘thing’) as we have similar personalities, a matching sense of humour and love laughing and having a lolz time together.

How did you meet Mickey?
Back when we were still at university, I was visiting Mickey’s house-share for the first time with a friend. Being a victim of a cold ‘newcomer’ prank, I had been introduced to Mickey as being “from Devon, but its ok; we like him”. After running into him a few times over the following few years I realised that this was actually true as we got more 'pally'. Before we knew it we were pretty much neighbours and bonafide friends, in each other’s house almost every day. I went to his house to hang out, and he at ours. He also started to spend bit more time with my housemate Hellin during his visits; how odd. Now I see why.

How did you meet Mickey?
Michael and I met at a house party in flat 9 house F in the Taly Bronx (Talybont North halls of residence for any non-Cardiff students). I was on the hob, whilst he was by the fridge. We sparked up a conversation on the details of the only Ska band we both new 'Reel Big Fish' and we were last to be expelled from the Student Union on that fateful eve. Having referred to me as Lynford for the first two weeks we were off to a shaky start, however soon overcame this and eventually lived together!

How did you meet Mickey?
This isn't so much how we met but how I first heard of him. I always knew he was the boy whose window got vandalised by a Welsh girl. I can’t even remember what she wrote now, but I can imagine it was something vulgar and sexist. Other than that we met in the Paul Matthews suite of your house which little did you know I would be inhabiting for the year. Never looked back!

How did you meet Mickey?
He had the room opposite me in Ground Floor Flat 2, House V; little did I know I would spend the next 4 years living with him. I vividly remember crying with laughter as I secretly put tangarines and chocolate powder into his en-suite's toilet cistern, and his ridiculous laundry pile that grew for so long it seemed to develop consciousness. It wasn't long before we became best friends.
